Red, White & Beautiful Summer Series

Red, White & Beautiful

Summer in the North Coast has its own rhythm, long, warm afternoons, cool fog-lined mornings, red soil, white light, and sparkling brightness that settles over the vineyards this time or year.  It's a season shaped by contrast, by the landscape itself, and by the small-lot wines that reflect character.

As our country marks its 250th year, we find ourselves thinking about growers who continue America's agricultural story here in Mendocino, Sonoma, and Lake County.  Their work is steady and intentional, rooted in family, heritage, and a deep respect for the land.   This summer, we're honoring that story through Red, White & Beautiful, a seasonal look at the wines and people who define this region.

RED for the warm climate vineyards and growers who coax character from heat and heritage.  White for the coastal mornings, the bright acidity of Sauvignon Blanc, and the sparkling wines that make summer gatherings feel effortless.  Beautiful for the families, field, and quiet, everyday moments that remind us why this place matters.

Over the next several weeks, we'll explore these themes more deeply, from warm season reds and coastal whites to sparkling wines built for long evenings outdoors.  We'll share grower stories, summer pairing ideas, and reflections on the land as we move through the season.  Each piece is meant to offer a closer look at the people behind the bottles and the places that shape them.   Whether you're discovering a new varietal, following along with our summer series, or simply curious about the stories behind the North Coast wine, we're glad you're here.   There is so much to uncover this season.
