Mendocino County is known as DISTRICT ONE in terms of grape growing regions according to the USDA. The climate around the Ukiah Valley and along the path of the Russian River is Mediterranean in nature which creates complex and deeply rich red wines. This vintage displays perfectly ripe dark berries, juicy pomegranate and peppery spice on the nose. Each of these aromas follow through on the palate with a delightful boldness. The finish is spicy and lingering and will pair perfectly with a blackened fish, grilled steak or seared duck breast.
