This delicious wine has a brooding bramble and fennel salumi, complemented by subtle notes of all-spice aroma. 

The palate offers flavors reminiscent of dark, luscious blueberry cobbler, with juicy tannins and a vibrancy that makes it a great food-pairing wine. The finish is long and satisfying, with hints of India ink and fresh plum. This wine will age incredibly well over the years, revealing even more layers of complexity and depth. 2022 was a uniquely distinctive vintage. It was a drought year, with above average temperatures culminating in a significant heat wave in early September, followed by a rain event resulting in an early vintage with ideal ripeness and higher acidity. 

Hand-harvested from our steepest slopes in mid September at an average of 22.5 Brix. Cold soaked and fermented in small 1-ton tanks for 29 days. Native yeast and malolactic bacteria.
