The Clone 05 Pinot Noir is produced from several blocks of Pommard 05 clone of Pinot Noir grown in our estate vineyard. It was hand-harvested, then delivered via tractor to our onsite winery, where it was hand-sorted and added to the fermenters with 25% whole clusters and 75% destemmed, whole berries.

Punchdowns were done by hand and the wine was fermented with all native yeast and ML strains (we have never inoculated at our Boonville winery). All our Pinots are bottled unfined and unfiltered. Tasting barrels during our first few vintages inspired us to craft a 100% Pommard clone blend, and now we bottle this “Clone 05” each and every year. It shows the beautiful red fruit that Pommard is known for, alongside earthiness and toasty oak.
