The 2017 Cimarron red blend is powerful and wild in itself. We ferment the varietals separately, and later blend this Rhone style wine. The integrity of each component Syrah, Mourvédre, Grenache, and a splash of Petit Verdot are more pronounced with late blending vs co-fermentation. 

Plums, raspberries and spices fill your pallet. The aromas of berries, caramel and tobacco resonate long after your last sip.

At elevations ranging from 1,400 to 3,000 feet and located at the base of Mount Konocti, once an active volcano, the Red Hills ava features rolling hills, red volcanic soils, and a lake effect breeze from Clear Lake, one of North America’s oldest natural lakes.
