Alta Orsa Estate Hillside Cuvée
Alta Orsa Estate Hillside Cuvée
"Lush, bright aromatics on the nose are red plum, cranberry compote, clove, and notes of dried herbs; the palate offers fresh raspberry, blood orange zest, Pink grapefruit segments, dried thyme, and mouth-watering tannins on the finish. Decant and enjoy paired with grilled lamb, pomegranate, and mâche"—Tonya Pitts, WE
This delicious wine has a brooding bramble and fennel salumi, complemented by subtle notes of all-spice aroma.
The palate offers flavors reminiscent of dark, luscious blueberry cobbler, with juicy tannins and a vibrancy that makes it a great food-pairing wine. The finish is long and satisfying, with hints of India ink and fresh plum. This wine will age incredibly well over the years, revealing even more layers of complexity and depth.

Alta Orsa
Alta Orsa is a mountain vineyard rooted in the hills above Hopland. For more than three decades, the estate has been farmed with a light hand — no‑till soils, cover crops, and organic practices that treat the land as a living system. Led by winemaker Martin Bernal‑Hafner, the team works with their high‑density estate vines and a few trusted Mendocino and Sonoma growers who share the same farming values. In the cellar, the approach stays minimal so the vineyard and the season can speak clearly, letting the hillside leave its own imprint.
