"This is Old Vine Carignane at its best; the full flavors are baked black plum, simmering spices, wildflowers, toasted oak barrel, and maple on the nose. The palate is a fresh stone fruit with good acidity, grilled orange slices, white pepper, and savory spices on the mouth-watering finish."—Tonya Pitts, WE

Thirty six months of ageing in French and American oak barrels have softened the wine and added complexity to the intense aromas and full flavors of ripe plum, dark fruits and earth.

Mendocino County is the largest producer of Carignane in the premium wine growing regions of California, with the majority of the vineyards being old-vine.
