La Storia Merlot
La Storia Merlot
Gold - Sunset Intl. Wine Competition
This Merlot is plush, dark‑fruited, and immediately welcoming. Ripe blackberry, plum, and black cherry lead the way, supported by warm baking spice, cocoa, and a touch of vanilla from gentle oak aging. The palate is smooth and rounded, offering soft tannins and a velvety texture that makes the wine feel both comforting and polished. A hint of dried herbs adds lift, while the finish stays clean and generous. It’s an easy‑drinking, richly flavored Merlot that delivers classic Alexander Valley warmth without heaviness.

La Storia
The Trentadue family made their way to Sonoma County long before it was known as Wine Country. Evelyn and Leo Trentadue, lifelong farmers, played a big part in shaping the region over the years. In 1959, they left their orchards of apricots and cherries in Sunnyvale, which is now Silicon Valley, to escape growing urban development. Determined to protect their farming heritage, they found a new home in Sonoma County’s peaceful Alexander Valley, purchasing 208 acres of land. Their wines carry a bold, polished style, grounded in old‑vine heritage, generous in fruit, and framed with the clarity that comes from long-standing craft.
