Clay Shannon Zinfandel
Clay Shannon Zinfandel
"This wine is zesty, with aromas of red currant, red plum, white pepper and notes of dried baking spice on the nose. The flavors on the palate are Bing cherry, cranberry and star anise, layered with grapefruit zest and vanilla cream, with dry, grippy tannins on the finish. Decant and pair with grilled blood sausage and purple cabbage."—Tonya Pitts, WE
This delightful Zinfandel has a jammy flavor with fruity aromas of blackberry, cherry, plum and black pepper, blending nicely with the oaky notes. It makes for sipping magic, as well as a great companion for your favorite food pairings.
On the palate, this is a wine with full body characteristics, intense flavors and refreshing palate, achieving a perfect balance. Bright fruit, spice, texture, and all of the tannin is a hallmark of the high elevation vineyards of Lake County. Aged 10 months in oak (25% French)
